Silicone Wristbands: Fad, Fashion, or Mainstay?

Awareness Bracelet Craze
Ever since Lance Armstrong started the silicone wristband craze with the release of his yellow “LIVESTRONG” wristbands, millions of people worldwide have discovered a new and effective method of supporting their favorite causes. Today, there is almost every color imaginable to be found on these ubiquitous silicone bracelets; each one performing their part in raising awareness for a multitude of diseases and causes. What does the future hold for this latest fad to take our society (and a plethora of others worldwide) by storm?
Fashionable Fad
Although silicone wristbands have become incredibly popular, it is exceptionally difficult to argue that they are the height of fashion. Even with the cachet factor, it is essential to remember that they are made of rubber. Very few consumers are choosing to wear their awareness bracelets to the ball or senior prom. However, this does not translate into these wristbands as being “unfashionable” either. Indeed, silicone wristbands have become a “fashionable fad.” A fad, by definition, is a “short-lived fashion…something that is embraced very enthusiastically for a short time, especially by many people.” Undoubtedly, many people have enthusiastically embraced silicone bracelets. But, just how short-lived is this awareness bracelet craze?
From Fad to Mainstay
Simple market analysis reveals to us a dichotomy in the silicone wristband industry. Retail sales are beginning to lag, yet manufacturers are producing silicone bracelets in record quantities, with no end in sight. How is this possible? Simple. The fad is fading but a new, effective, and inexpensive mainstay has taken its place - the custom silicone wristband. Silicone bracelets have already proven themselves effective for fundraising. Now, their fully customized cousins are proving even more effective at targeting a variety of smaller causes, and they are making a dramatic push into corporate promotions and trade shows. Custom silicone wristbands are being adopted by small non-profit organizations, large corporations, and everything in between as a powerful tool for spreading their message, promoting their brand, and announcing new products or even entirely new businesses. Is the key chain a fad? Is the coffee mug, pen, calendar, mouse pad, or T-shirt a fad? No, these items are here to stay. Custom silicone wristbands are here to stay as well. Customized bracelets are more than just a simple promotional or fundraising item. They are walking billboards. Human nature dictates that we share anything that we have received free with practically everyone we meet. If we have purchased a custom silicone wristband to support our local sports team, church youth group, or favorite small charity, human nature often dictates that we share this good deed as well.
The Bottom Line
The bottom line is that custom silicone wristbands can and will be used by all types of organizations large and small. They are an inexpensive and incredibly effective marketing tool that puts an exciting twist on word-of-mouth advertising and viral marketing. Organizations are beginning to realize that an investment of mere pennies per wristband has the potential to reach dozens of prospective customers with each fully customized bracelet introduced into their target market. In addition, local schools, churches, and small non-profit organizations recognize the benefits of bolstering school spirit or spreading their message while raising funds at the same time. So, if you are looking for the silicone bracelet fad to fade any time soon, look again. Custom silicone wristbands are not only here to stay, you can expect to see even more of them as everyone from small local churches to huge corporate conglomerates jump on board. With the possible combinations of colors, messages, designs, and even sizes being infinite, creative minds everywhere will be looking to harness the power of the custom silicone wristband.

Vanunu’s “Unpardonable Sin”?

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Before I left the USA for my first trip to Israel Palestine I phoned Mother Agapia Stephanopolous, a Russian Orthodox nun and the administrator of the Orthodox School of Bethany in Jerusalem, to schedule an appointment for Spiritual Direction and to discuss our mutual feelings about The Wall.
Mother Agapia is the sister of ABC News commentator, George Stephanopolous, and she had recently spoken passionately to Congress about the fact that, “Israel is destroying the local Christian community.”
On April 18, 2005, Robert Novak’s article “Walling off Christianity” reported on the nun’s letter to Congress and how East Jerusalem had been cut off from the rest of the West Bank. Mother Agapia predicted, “It is only a matter of time before Christians and Muslims will be unable to survive culturally and economically.”
Mother Agapia spoke bluntly about the nine yards high of Israeli concrete that have “shattered” the Christian communities. She told Novak, “I witness the strangulation of East Jerusalem, and the deprivation of her non-Jewish residents’ religious rights every day. Even the United States seems to have been taken in by Israeli spin.”
On my very first afternoon in Jerusalem, on June 12, 2006, I met the good nun and told her that I hadn’t been taken in by the spin, but what could I possibly do? She had no answer.
But, on that afternoon in June 12, 2005, Mother Agapia did tell me about the Jerusalem Interfaith Peace Conference with satellite link to the world that was happening the Sunday after the Thursday I was scheduled to return to the USA. I knew immediately that I needed to stay for it and after saying goodbye to Mother Agapia, I phoned my husband to get his OK to change my departure date.
On June 26, 2006, I attended the world wide satellite linked Interfaith Peace Conference at Jerusalem’s Notre Dame Cathedral. Dan Rather moderated from Washington DC and the Holy Land interfaith panel were all moderates attempting to reclaim the battlefield of ideas from extremists on both sides.
Rev. Theodore Hessburgh, President Emeritus University of Notre Dame began the evening with a pledge and a summons I cannot forget: “The Peace of the world begins in Jerusalem.”
A few days before my first journey to Israel and Palestine in June 2005, a Palestinian American warned me, “Don’t visit Vanunu, if you see him, don’t speak to him. He’s not allowed to speak to foreigners and you could cause him trouble.”
I responded, “OK, I won’t track him down, but Jerusalem is a small town and if our paths cross, I will speak to him. What kind of government is that, that will tell a human being who they can and cannot talk to?”
I did not cross paths with Vanunu until the third Tuesday in June which was five days before I returned to the USA. If I hadn’t changed my departure date, it would have only been two. But, that very chance meeting with the Whistleblower of Israel’s WMD Program in the courtyard of St. Georges Cathedral, offered me the opportunity to spend a few hours with Vanunu over the next five days. I was curious as to what kind of a kid he had been and why he became a Christian. I wrote that story in my first book, “Keep Hope Alive”.
Vanunu was a secular Jew in 1986, but just a few weeks prior to being kidnapped by the Mossad, drugged and flung onto an Israeli cargo ship heading home and undergoing a closed door trial and 18 years in jail, most of it in solitary, he was baptized a Christian while in Sydney, Australia. Vanunu told me, “My Christian conversion, was also considered as treason and led to me receiving more time in jail than any murderer has ever served. The Israelis have this very beautiful article about freedom and liberty but they want to destroy anyone who criticizes them for revealing the truth to the world. The world must look and see what kind of democracy Israel is when one speaks out the truth.”
On May 14, 1948 The Declaration of the establishment of Israel affirmed:
“One the day of the termination of the British mandate and on the strength of the United Nations General Assembly declare The State of Israel will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel: it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion it will guarantee freedom of religion [and] conscience and will be faithful to the Charter of the United Nations.”
The founding of the statehood of Israel was also contingent upon the upholding of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Article 18 of the UDHR affirms that: “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.”This right includes freedom to change one’s religion.”
Although Vanunu was released after 18 years in prison on April 21, 2004, he has been held captive in East Jerusalem under the draconian restrictions of the British Mandate. “After WW II, Attorney Yaccov Shapiro, who later became Israel’s Minister Of Justice, described the Emergency Defense Regulations as “unparalleled in any civilized country: there were no such laws in Nazi Germany.”- [N.S. Ateek, Justice And Only Justice p.34]
“The reason they hold me, they claim is for security, that I could still have a secret about the Dimona that I haven’t told. But, the real reason is because Israel is not a democracy unless you are a Jew. This administration tells me I am not allowed to speak to foreigners, the Media, and the world. But I do because that is how I prove my true humanity to the world.”
On the day of the Palestinian elections in January 2006, Vanunu was back in court standing trial for speaking to the media in 2004, after his release from Ashkelon. Only three journalists were present, and since then, no more than one has attended any more court dates. On November 25, 2006, Vanunu, who has been annually nominated for the Noble Peace Prize for the last 20 years, emailed his friends and supporters that, he is “under the threat of being arrested at anytime. All this means that the Israeli’s Shaback and Mossad behind this police defective want to open a new case against me maybe, because the case that is running now is not succeeding for them.
“On Friday, November 24th, we were in the court on the trial against me with my lawyers, Jerry Levin [former CNN Mid East Bureau chief and the only journalist who has been reporting on Vanunu's court dates] and the Priest from St. George. In the court, my lawyer question IDF Central District Commander Major-General Yair Naveh. He responded to the questions and gave his testimony in the Jerusalem Peace Court.
“My lawyer succeeded to reveal a few very important facts:
1. This General of the Army also was not allowed to see all the secrets that he is required to protect by these restrictions that they claim I know them. So, he gave orders of restrictions without knowing what he is protecting or that he is also following orders blindly, and Mossad sheen Bet using its authority for just punishing me.
2. He testified that it is not a crime for me to talk with foreigners in general anywhere.
3. He testified that I can speak freely to any Israeli citizens about anything; it is not his concern what I am saying to them. These Israelis can give this information to any foreigners. It was difficult for the Judge to understand why this dichotomy exits between foreigners and Israelis. It means that it is not about secrecy but about something else.”
Could the “something else” be that Vanunu has committed the “unpardonable sin” for some Jews: his conversion to Christianity?

Understanding and Using MySpace Privacy Settings

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Everyone enjoys some degree of privacy from time to time, and some folks more than others. This can also apply to online privacy, and privacy of their MySpace profiles. The following paragraphs will discuss different privacy options offered with your free MySpace account, as well as how to use these said features.
Firstly, in order to adjust the privacy options for your MySpace profile, you have to be logged into your free MySpace account. To ensure every feature is available to you, log into your account before you begin. You can do so by selecting the “Sign In” option from www.myspace.com, or you can visit your own MySpace profile and click the “home” link at the top of your page. Either way will direct you to the MySpace log in page and allow you full access to your account. Now that you have full access to your account, you are ready to explore all of the privacy options available to you.
On your MySpace home page, directly to the right of your profile picture, you will find a list of links. These links include:
edit profile
account settings
add/edit photos
add/edit videos
manage blog
There are a few other links on the list as well. To explore your privacy options, you need to click the link labeled “account settings”. This will redirect you to a page where you will have many other selections to choose from, including explore/change your privacy settings.
As you browse down the list of your MySpace account settings, you will see an area labeled “privacy settings”. Beside it, there should be a visible red link marked “Change Settings”. It will be necessary to click this link.
Now you are ready to actually explore and change your MySpace privacy settings. All the information you need to change your privacy settings is located on this page. Some of the options available to you include:
require email address or last name in order for other members to make an add friend request
require approval before other members’ comments post on your profile
hide your online status
block bands’ friend requests
set your profile to private
One of the most used privacy feature options on MySpace is the ability to set your profile to private. This simply ensures no one can view your MySpace profile without first being approved by you as a friend. The downfall associated with this privacy feature is you may not get as many add friend requests if other members are unable to view your profile.

Why Your Dog Won’t Eat This Tasty Career Update Plan! 5 Critical Steps!

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Every so often we’re hit by the career update urge. Over time the urge matures into a realization that the time is right for change. But the thought of letting go of a good-paying, secure job is truly scary. That’s when the dig eats it . . . and nothing gets done!
The solution to this career update dilemma is easy to report but tough to carry out. Still, thousands have been in the same situation–torn between staying and leaving.
Do your homework before you make any final decisions. Here are some guidelines to help ease the transition.
1. Make a list of everything you’ve got going for you. This includes all your strengths, capabilities and assets. Do NOT focus exclusively on your work history or job descriptions. Do NOT prepare a resume at this point. It’s too limiting.
2. Select a range of organizations that are consistent with your capabilities and interests without considering whether or not they have job openings.
3. Identify the person you would report to if you went to work there. Presumably this is the person who would be making a hiring decision about you.
4. Discover innovative ways to meet informally face-to-face with this person . . . NOT an interview. The best resource for arranging this is to get introduced by people you know . . . friends, neighbors, relatives, religious leaders and fellow members, past and current co-workers and former bosses, former classmates, etc.
5. Meet with these prospective employers in non-interview settings . . . strictly for the purpose of gaining insight into the organization and getting their advice. In that context you can make some intelligent decisions about what’s appropriate for you.
It can be a very exciting time when you approach your career update in an enlightened way. The secret to success is to have a comprehensive plan that allows you to explore a range of options. When you do, you will discover that you are qualified for many more opportunities than your resume would allow you to believe.
Then your career update plan should have a step-by-step procedure for accomplishing you goals. After all, career change takes place in the real world. That means your plan has to consistent with the needs and expectations of today’s job marketplace.
For example, being in control of the career update process and finding a job that matches up with all your requirements is no longer as simple posting your resume on a few job sites. Unless you’re satisfied with picking through the leftovers! A powerful job search plan can pay big dividends.

How to Conquer Intimidating Goals

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

“Oh that would be too hard for me — I could never learn to do that.”
We’ve all heard these words… you may even have said them yourself. Tackling new skills can feel intimidating. But we only feel intimidated because we overestimate the task and underestimate our own abilities. We aren’t confident enough in our natural abilities. Take learning to drive for example.
Today, millions of very mentally un-gifted people got into automobiles and drove them. And most of them had no accident today. So how hard can it be?
Or maybe you’re thinking of writing a book. Millions of people every year write books.
Millions more:
- save money
- start businesses
- find jobs
- lose weight
- get into shape
- discover someone to love
- get married
- find a way to attend school
- start new careers
And many other things you may have been thinking are too hard, too complicated, too far beyond you.
The truth is, they’re not beyond you at all.
DO THIS:
What have you been holding yourself back from doing? No, you don’t have to list EVERYTHING you’re putting off. Just take the top one.
First:
Whatever it is, write it down on a piece of paper.
Second:
Now think of somebody who isn’t particulary smart, but who is now doing the very thing you want to do.
Been putting off learning to drive? Look at all the idiots on the road who somehow manage to get from here to there without wrecking the countryside.
What about marriage? True, most people botch it completely, but many millions actually do get it right and live in happiness.
Or maybe you’re putting off starting your own business. Same thing — you’ve met people barely clever enough to get in out of the rain, but they have businesses. And they haven’t gone bankrupt — at least not yet.
Chances are, the one thing you’re lacking is not intelligence, nor ability, nor talent. Training is no real stumbling block, either, since people regularly go get the same training you’re wanting.
No, you’re probably only lacking permission. You’re waiting around for somebody to validate you, then pick you up and prove to you that you can do it.
It ain’t gonna happen that way. The good news is, it doesn’t HAVE to happen that way.
All it takes is just deciding you’ll do it. Then just begin.
Several years ago someone told me a great two-step formula for success in any field.
Step one is start; step two is don’t stop.
So we come to…
Third:
Make a beginning, no matter how awkward, then just keep moving forward in the direction you want to go.
Honestly, it’s just about that simple.
While great intelligence can make things simpler, it can also make things much more difficult if you never learn to use it FOR yourself instead of against.
Please notice that beginnings are almost always awkward. That’s okay. Give yourself permission to be a beginner when you begin. And if you feel a compulsion to be perfect, then just be a perfect beginner.
But do keep moving… forward.

Publishing Formats for eBooks

Friday, October 30th, 2009

While traditionally printed books and literature materials still have the greater market in terms of popularity and market share, publishing e-Books continue to experience growth and technological advancements that make it clear that this medium of virtual publishing is here to stay and perhaps will gain more strength in the future.
For one thing, publishing e-Books over traditionally printed material has a smaller ecological impact because it does not entail the cutting down of trees. As this civilization continues to progress technologically, and while our natural resources continue to dwindle, we might eventually see a ban on printing literature traditionally and instead, all reading material will be passed through an e-Book publisher.
Before that though, we already see some advantages and disadvantages in traditional printing of books to publishing e-Books. While the main disadvantage of e-Books over paperback is the fact that not all electronic books can be read by the same e-Book reader. This means that you will need to have different e-Book reader devices to support all types of electronic books that are published.
On the other hand, publishing e-Books have many benefits, one of which is the fact that it is an affordable alternative to printing in full color. Some e-Book formats support a full book layout, which can include images that will register beautifully on the screen of the e-Book reader device. It would cost quite a lot to print full colored layouts for traditional hardbound or paperback books. While in publishing e-Books, the full colored image is rendered into the format needed and can be continuously distributed to readers without having to use a single sheet of paper or several liters of ink.
Another benefit to publishing digital books instead of regular print formats is that you allow the reader to store hundreds of thousands of full length electronic books into their handy e-Book reader devices. This way, again, less resources are used and the book’s mobility is improved. One can have a whole library in the palm of their hands with one single device that stores and displays published e-Books. Some e-Book reader devices also have provisions for a wonderful library interface to help one store and manage numerous and varied electronic books.
Another addition to its mobility is the e-Book reader’s adaptability to any lighting conditions. Publishing e-Books will help the reader to be able to enjoy his or her book even if there is little or no light at all because these reading devices always come with back lit screens. This eliminates the need to a light source which makes the e-Book very adaptable and mobile indeed.
Yet another benefit to publishing e-Books is in giving the content several enhancements. There are some publishers and e-Book reading devices that allow for formats with audio and video components, making the experience of reading e-Books even more special. This is especially helpful for publishing e-Books that are supposed to be for educational purposes.
Through the mixed media component, the reader of the e-Book will experience a learning process that is simply not available through other more traditional mediums of publishing books. If you are looking for a cost effective, environment friendly and versatile format for books then publishing e-Books may be what’s right for you. Check out the different methods and publishers for e-Books to know which type would be best for you.

Lancaster Cebu Investors Yield 8% ROI on Condotel Rentals

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Lancaster Cebu Resort Residences [LCRR] in Mactan, Cebu, is a boutique Brand Name Condotel Investment of Pacific Concord Properties Inc, and now ready to accept guests in the Condo Hotel. Under the management of Lancaster Hotels, Land and Properties, Inc. [LHLPI] rental operations of LCRR were soft launched March 2007.
Beth Collingz, International Marketing Director of PLC Global an internet based sales and marketing company and lead marketing partners with Pacific Concord Properties, Inc., for the Lancaster Brand of Condotels in the Philippines, said the original or early bird Lancaster Cebu preconstruction investors whom purchased at our pre-launch purchase price are now earning upwards of 8% ROI on their investments in the first 3 months of operations and have seen a 45% appreciation in their real estate investment over the past 2 years.
These are not bad figures for a start up project enthused Collingz which is why the company is expanding its operations in Lancaster Cebu over the next 6 months with the acquisition and completion of another 30 suites immediately and 120 over 12 months to mid 2008.
This follows the recent announcement the company has acquired, by purchase, additional units in its Lancaster Cebu Condotel adding another 75M pesos to its project inventory and expansion program. This brings the number of properties held or under contract in the development and condotel rental pool to 75 suites with another 120 units to be added before year end for Condo Hotel rental operations.
Property is all about LOCATION said Collingz. Mactan and Lancaster Cebu, provides one with both the laid back pace of provincial living, as well as prerequisites of the urban dweller. Schools, hospitals, restaurants, shopping malls, and leisure are all found on the island itself with no doubt contribute to the success of the launch of rental operations.
Lancaster Cebu Resort Residences, located a mere 3 minutes from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, provides easy access to all the essentials of urban living. This ideal location will complement the Condotel operation since Lancaster Cebu will function as a condominium hotel a preferred accommodation choice of businessmen and holiday travelers alike. Clients can either purchase Condotel Suites for investment purposes or lease the units on weekly, monthly or yearly basis. We currently have Fully Furnished Executive Studio Suite and Two-Bedroom Suites available at Lancaster Cebu Resort Residences at Pre-Increase Prices that will be Ready For Occupancy from November 2007 at the current price said Collingz.
For the soft launch running through to December 2007, LHLPI has prepared special promotional room rates aimed at budget travelers. Guests can check-in to any of the executive studio suites for as low as $35 a night or to any of the two-bedroom loft rooms at $65 a night plus 13% Government Tax whilst longer term discounted rates for monthly and yearly lease rentals are also available said Collingz.
For those clients looking for investments in the Philippines, Lancaster Cebu also offers Studio Suites for sale.
US based investors at Lancaster Cebu can take advantage of their 401K or IRA allotments whilst UK clients can avail of retirement tax incentives for the purchase of condo units under their Self Invested Pension Program [SIPP].
With the expansion of the current rental operations we expect occupancy rates to increase to some 80% and rental returns to reach the 10-12% ROI level early 2008 based upon the current promo rates. Of course as rentals increase with inflation and the with the Holidays fast approaching, these figures could be significantly improved. Not only that, current real estate appreciation is also a factor running at some 15% per annum in Cebu said Collingz.
Whilst some renovation works are still ongoing within the complex, unit rentals are still available to guests at ‘Special Promo Rates’. Cebu City is the acknowledged gateway and Queen City of the South. Cebu is the most important trading and commercial hub outside of Metro Manila. Mactan Cebu International Airport assures the arrival of a steady stream of international flights from Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kota Kinabalu, Seoul and Qatar. There are also chartered flights from Incheon, Taipei, Kansai, Nagoya and Kiaoshung that arrive on a weekly basis. Cebu is identified by Asiaweek and Conde Nast Traveller as one of Asia’s Best Cities

How To Build Trust In Yourself With EFT

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Trust is a huge issue. It is much bigger then most of us realise. Trust is the foundations upon which success, emotional well being and lasting happiness are built. Trust is also somewhat ephemeral, it is elusive and intangible. In this day and age we like to have proof of everything and we seek certainty before we enter into anything new. And this is just it, the very nature of trust dictates that we do something in the belief that it is right and will succeed. In other words trust happens before the action.
In a world where everything is regulated, insurance policies are offered for anything that might go wrong and we are prepared to sue for even the smallest mishap, trust has lost its relevance. We are lost in a jungle of never ending red tape seeking assurance before doing even the most basic things. Risk is a dirty word and trust a theoretic concept left over from the dark ages and written about by those seeing reality through rose tinted glasses.
Most of us go through life without even realising how we plan everything leaving nothing to chance. Holiday companies make sure that every single aspect of your holiday is planned and any eventuality catered for. School children are not sent outside to play during snow, in case of injury and every business person knows how health and safety regulations have been taken beyond reasonable sense, the list is long. Well, I am sure you know what I am talking about.
The problem of living in a society where we try to foresee and safeguard against every thing is that creativity and individuality get killed stone dead. We exist within a framework of predictable security. But what happened to living life with joyous expectation of new adventures? Do your children know what it means to be creative, inventing new fun games to play and, yes, trusting that venturing into the unknown will bring great rewards? Sadly for most parents the answer is no. They themselves have forgotten what trust is really all about.
Trust is the very opposite of the way in which we lead our lives today. It means embracing the future without knowing the outcome for certain and not minding about this. It means creating a vision and working towards that vision in spite of the uncertainty. It is about being totally aware and confident in the knowledge of uncertainty. When you have grasped that concept true happiness and success will be yours.
The theory sounds great, but how can we re-awaken trust in a practical way?
Like everything in life, you can learn to rekindle trust again, if you are willing. To begin with you need to broaden your mental horizons. The first step in this direction, as always, is awareness. Using a cognitive awareness technique, is the best way of becoming aware of the times when you are not trusting in a situation, a person or an outcome.
The next step is repetition. Once you have identified situations when you are lacking trust, you need to reinforce your willingness to build trust in yourself. You do this by elevating your vibrational energy levels. This is a mental process. Focusing on changing a behaviour or attitude can be very challenging. You can help yourself considerably by employing an energy technique of your choice.
One of the most effective techniques I know of is EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique. You can learn to use EFT easily and quickly. EFT focuses the mind on a specific issue, like lack of trust. Whilst you focus on the issue you simultaneously tap on a small number of meridian points on body and face. Mind focus together with the action of physical tapping is a very fast way to change your vibrational energy almost instantaneously.
One round of tapping takes about one minute. You can easily tap on an issue like trust several times per day, reminding you for instance that you want to build your ability to trust in yourself completely, under all circumstances. You will soon notice how you are becoming more aware of areas in your life where you are lacking trust. Since repeated tapping makes you feel better by raising your radiant energies you will soon notice how your mind opens up to new ways of thinking. Your increased confidence will make you more creative and inventive. You start seeing things in a new light.

Secrets to Weight Loss Success

Friday, October 30th, 2009

There are so many fad weight programs advertised in every sort of media there is. One would think that out of all there programs and diets there would be one that works for sure. But there is a program that pretty much works every time it is tried and it is not a diet nor is it a diet pill. It is the program of exercise and good nutrition. It works just about every time it’s tried. What is the program used by the military in every country around the world? It is the exercise and good nutrition program. From the first day a person joins the military, they are led in exercises and long runs daily. This is because it is very important for the military to stay in top shape. Don’t you think if there was a fad diet that worked quickly the military would use it? But there is none other than the exercise and good nutrition program.
The secrets to weight loss success are not really secrets at all but it seems that way because they are drowned out by all of the fad diet hype. The first secret to weight loss success is to stop dieting and get active. You have to burn off more calories than you take in each day so that you can lose weight. You can do things like bicycle, run, walk, run up stairs, chop wood, and do intense yard work. You say you don’t have time? Then fit these activities within your daily routine. If you can walk or bike to work then do so and leave your car at home. Your body will benefit from it and your wallet will too in terms of gasoline savings. Take a walk at lunchtime when at work instead of going to some fast food restaurant. You will have more energy in the afternoon.
The next secret is to eat right. This means cutting down on the sugary snacks and reducing your portions at meals. It also means eating a balanced diet covering the food groups necessary to sustain your body. Starvation is not the answer as the weight you lose will only be water weight and as soon as you start eating again you will gain it all back. Go to a military dining facility and see the vast choices of food they have in there yet the service men and women are all fit and trim. That is because they eat right and exercise. It should be no big secret but unfortunately it is.
The most important meal of the day is breakfast and you should make sure you eat a good one. If there is any meal you should never miss it is breakfast. Breakfast restores nutrition in the body after it has fasted all night. It is food for the brain and it is a well-known fact that students perform much better when they have had the proper breakfast.
And finally, keep your eating patterns regular. If you wait several hours between meals then you will be much hungrier when you finally do sit down to the meal. In this condition, we tend to eat more. It is better to eat smaller meals with some healthy snacks in between. This will maintain a more stable metabolism within your body and reduce the likelihood that you will overeat at any one meal.

Knowing where you are going to speak, to whom you will be speaking, and the time you have allotted to address your messages is information you will need to know. This article will offer tips on public speaking that you may not have considered before.
Your audience and the speaking engagement location are very important. Get all the information possible about who will be attending your presentation.
